Covid-19 information

COVID-19 vaccinations:
We have been allocated Bedworth Civic Hall as the Covid-19 vaccination hub for our patients.

The first Cohorts are being contacted today (14.01.2021)

Please note, we are not coordinating the rollout of appointments for the vaccine and patients will be contacted by the Hub in due course. Therefore, please DO NOT contact the Surgery.

Many thanks

We know this is a worrying time for everyone so we have put together a list of information that you may find useful:

Ibuprofen and COVID-19

The current advice regarding ibuprofen.

• There is no current published evidence that anti inflammatory medications  have an impact on COVID-19.

Whilst this is being researched:-

• Those with/suspected to have COVID-19 should use paracetamol in preference to NSAIDs.eg ibuprofen voltarol

• Those on NSAIDs for other medical reasons (e.g. arthritis) should not stop them

Sick notes

If you require a sick note in regards to COVID-19, please find the generic printable document below:

Asthma and Covid-19

We understand some patients may have concerns regarding their Asthma and Covid-19. Please follow this link to the Asthma UK webpage which is updated regularly and will give you the most current guidance and advice. https://www.asthma.org.uk/advice/triggers/coronavirus-covid-19/

Referrals

Please note if you have recently been referred to the hospital it is possible that your appointment may be cancelled/re-arranged if it is routine. This is due to the extraordinary demand on the NHS during this time. Hospitals are currently reviewing this internally and will be in touch with you if this is the case.

All urgent referrals will still continue where possible.

Prescriptions

As we are trying to reduce the number of patients that need to attend the surgery we ask that if you require a repeat prescription you contact the Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) to order what you need on 024 7624 6025.

You will be required to nominate a pharmacy for your prescription and once your request is processed it will be sent directly to them for you to collect.

Please only order what you actually need, there is no need to stock pile any of your items.
